Kohler, Apron Kitchen Sinks

Apron kitchen sinks, also called Farmhouse sinks, are often used in kitchens with a rustic or country-style decor but are becoming vastly popular in the modern kitchen as well. They feature an exposed front that in some cases jut past the front of the cabinetry that surrounds it and often are deeper than average. In general, apron sinks come in a large, single-well configuration made from white porcelain. Still, there are double-bowl sinks also available in this style, and they come in an array of materials and sizes. Apron sinks can be integrated with furniture pieces that serve to replace the traditional cabinet sink base, creating a custom look for the kitchen. The faucet and other accessories are generally mounted directly into the countertop behind the bowl since they often have no deck for faucet holes.
